My name is Tommy Lynch and I am a passionate baseball fan living in Yonkers, NY (or as I like to call it, “God’s Favorite City”). I have followed the game since 1979 when my parents should have left me at Ft. Lauderdale Stadium, then the Spring Training home of the Yankees. I insisted the Yanks were playing the Dodgers, when in reality, it was right around the time for the first day of full-squad workouts.
Besides passionate, I consider myself knowledgeable although my predictions may not always reflect that. I believe baseball is the greatest game we have and although that may be a minority opinion, there is no doubt it is the sport that has fostered the most positive changes in society. All topics can and will be discussed but I may not always touch on the “hot” topic of the moment, at least not yet. I will leave that to the other folks who cover baseball. I like to plan my thoughts out about current and sometimes controversial subjects before forming a written opinion. Forgive me for not sticking my foot in my mouth.
I am glad you decided to make time for this blog. I hope you will visit often and come away informed and entertained. Please like me on Facebook and follow me on Twitter, @ltj41. Many thanks in advance.
